Restaurant Venta el Puente looks like a normal roadside inn, but it is not.
The owner and cook, Carmen Luisa, has a very original concept and lots of plans to develop this place in the countryside between two rivers into something so special that you feel at home.
She wants people to come, with their families, to this home from home, to enjoy the peace and quiet, the fresh flowers round about and also a simple, fresh and innovative menu.
They also offer a selection of Ronda wines at a good price.
There is a barbecue grill in the evening from Thursday to Sunday. And the breakfasts are among the best in the Serranía.
What a find this has been! The best breakfast we have had in the whole of the Ronda area. The tapas are tasty and well-priced and often different to those available elsewhere. Dinner has been a revelation, with freshly prepared salads to accompany a range of fresh fish and meat dishes. Since Covid-19 and the latest restrictions hit us I’ve had three superb lunches there, two of them, sancocho dominicano and chipirones rellenos de verduras con con arroz negro, arepitas de yuca y ensalada, typical dishes from the Dominican Republic, the chef and owner Carmen Luisa’s birthplace. With Ronda wines available by the glass, you can really eat well here.
