Al Lago is a family run little gem of a hotel and renowned restaurant. Located in the picturesque pueblo of Zahara de la Sierra, overlooking mountains and an azure lake, the village was recently voted one of Spain’s most beautiful heritage ‘white villages’ and part of the “rutas de pueblos blancos”.

Zahara sits in the dramatic landscape of the “Sierra de Grazalema” a protected nature reserve popular for hiking, painting, wildflowers, horse trails, picturesque bike paths, birdwatching and nearby paragliding. Summer offers activities on the lake and local pool and playita.

Within close proximity is the historic town of Ronda, the sherry bodegas of Jerez and the flamenco bars of Sevilla.
