Four people were injured last night in a house fire in the Malaga town of Arriate, according to the emergency service’s 112 Andalucia control room.
The blaze was reported just past midnight when a neighbour alerted emergency operators of the fire in the kitchen of a house located in Calle Casas Nuevas.
Firefighters from the Provincial Consortium of Malaga, the Guardia Civil, Local Police and the Public Health Emergencies Company (EPES) all rushed to the scene.
The EPES services attended to four people. Three received medical treatment at the scene of the incident, a 55-year-old woman and two men of 37 and 29, while another 57-year-old man had to be transferred to the Hospital de la Serranía in Ronda.
According to the fire brigade there was one person affected by smoke inhalation and another one due to an anxiety crisis.
