Andalucía Country Houses, an estate agency with 15 successful years behind it, opens a new branch in Montejaque tomorrow (8 August, 2021). Karen Pedrazzini, one of the directors of this family-run company, sent us this update…
Hello. My name is Karen Pedrazzini, one of the three directors of Andalucía Country Houses. After 15 years of successful trading throughout the provinces of Málaga, Córdoba and Cádiz, we have taken the decision to refocus our business into a smaller area where we can offer a much more personalised day-to-day service to both buyers and sellers alike.
Covid-19 did little for anyone, but it did give us a fair amount of free time to reflect on what our post-pandemic business would look like. One thing we did take from our lockdown time is to do what you love and be where you love most. We couldn’t think of a better place to be in all Andalucía than the Serranía de Ronda.
We think our choice of Montejaque for our first base in the Serranía de Ronda is the right one as it lies more or less in the centre of the areas we shall be focused on. It is such a pretty village with many good amenities, including restaurants; the sort of place that both foreigners and Spanish nationals are drawn to.
We already have a strong portfolio of properties in and around Ronda and Gaucín, and a smaller selection in the outlying villages. We look forward to adding to our portfolio through the villages of the Serranía. Our list of properties for sale in Montejaque itself is growing daily thanks to the efforts of our local affiliate Paul Whitelock and director Geoffrey Banham.
We have leased premises just off the village square in a locale opposite the estanco. It will not be an office as such, but a property showroom. Buyers, sellers and renters will be able to enter from 10am until 8pm and read the displays of properties for sale or to rent and collect information.
One of the co-directors, Victoria Pedrazzini, is a Spanish and UK registered architect. Victoria will be available once a week at the showroom to give free advice to anyone having difficulties obtaining first occupation licences or APOs. She will also answer general planning questions.
As a registered architect she is permitted to make these applications to town halls, which saves a lot of time for owners struggling with applications. She can also obtain energy certificates, now a legal requirement for selling or renting a property.
In times of uncertainty or change, bricks and mortar are historically considered to be the best investment. The recent upturn in enquiry rate and sales closures are certainly bearing this out. We believe the next 12 months will see an unprecedented number of sales as the Brexit effect kicks in and post-Covid-19 life decisions are being made.
At Andalucía Country Houses, we are excited at the prospect of opening in Montejaque. We are planning to hold a grand launch event soon when we hope you will join us for a drink and a tapa at the premises in Montejaque. You can meet the team including me, my fellow directors, Geoffrey Banham and Victoria Pedrazzini, our local affiliate Paul Whitelock and affiliates from our other branches.
In the meantime, our showroom will be open daily from 10am until 8pm from Monday 9 August.
We look forward to seeing you.
Karen Pedrazzini
