Has the south of Spain got talent?

In August the Salón Varietés Theatre in Fuengirola is hosting a talent competition, for acts of any kind, and is inviting people to get involved and show off their skills.

The theatre is inviting people of all ages and talents to submit a one-minute audition video – recorded on a mobile phone is just fine – and submit it as soon as possible, if you would like to be included. If selected, you will need to be available for a short performance during the weekend of 13 – 15 August.

The Salón Varietés Theatre relies solely on “bums on seats” to maintain the building and put on shows. During the Covid crisis, its fundraising team has successfully raised enough money to announce its plans to re-open in September. More events, like the talent show, will help ensure the future of southern Spain’s only English-performing theatre.
