Mercadona issues urgent recall of product that ‘could contain salmonella’ from all supermarkets

Mercadona – the huge Spanish supermarket chain – has issued an urgent recall for a product that ‘could contain salmonella’ after they were alerted by the health authorities in Aragon.

The affected product is the Hacendado brand Pimentón de la Vera Dulce with a lot number of L150719 and a preferred consumption date of 10/2021.

Mercadona has said that customers should return the product to their nearest store for a full refund.

The company and their supplier Orencio SL have apologised to all customers for the inconvenience caused.
