Lifeless body of man pulled from sea off beach on Spain’s Costa del Sol

The emergency services have recovered the body of a man found floating just off a beach in the Malaga town of Torremolinos, according to the Emergency 112 Andalucia control room.

A beach user spotted the body of the victim floating about 50 metres from the shore on El Bajondillo beach at around 6:30 p.m. yesterday (Monday).

Members of the Guardia Civil, Maritime Rescue, National Police, Local Police and paramedics attended the scene.

Official sources said the body had the appearance of having been at sea for several days.

Once it was recovered it was transferred to the port of Benalmádena in a Maritime Rescue boat.
