The Spanish government is to impose a 14-day quarantine period on everyone entering Spain as from Friday, May 15 as they lead the fight against the spread of the worldwide COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.
Travellers will have to self-isolate for two weeks and it will only be allowed going out to buy food, buy medicines or visit a health centre or hospital, or other justified reasons. The use of facemasks will be mandatory if they do.
The only exceptions will be cross-border workers who are regularly moving in and out of the country such as cabin crew or healthcare workers – as long as they haven’t been in contact with coronavirus patients.
