The Junta de Andalucia’s Ministry of Health and Families reports that six new cases of Coronavirus have been confirmed in the region.
They include a 54-year-old man who been in contact with another positive case and two other men, aged 22 and 32, who have recently travelled to Italy. These three cases have been declared in the province of Malaga and are being actively monitored in their homes.
The Junta has also confirmed the cases of a 37-year-old man who is admitted to the Quirónsalud Hospital in Malaga with pneumonia, a 53-year-old man who is admitted to the Costa del Sol Hospital with a diagnosis of pneumonia and a 70-year-old man, who is admitted to the Serranía de Ronda Hospital with compatible symptoms. The origin of these three cases is being investigated as they do not appear to have been contracted by contact or travel.
Coronavirus Advisory Group in Andalucia
The Coronavirus Advisory Group in Andalucia has met again today in Córdoba, and sent out a message of remaining calm.
It has also authorised three new laboratories in Andalucia for the reception of samples. These laboratories are located in the Virgin Macarena hospital in Sevilla, the Juan Ramón Jiménez in Huelva and the Costa del Sol Hospital in Malaga. In total, Andalucia will have five laboratories for the first analysis of samples.
