Lorry driver transporting food dies in crash on A-384

A lorry driver has died after his truck and trailer overturned on the A-384 at kilometre 76 on the Olvera – Antequera road.

Emergency services attended the accident at 2.30pm on Sunday but it was some five hours before it was concluded.

A crane was required to lift and stabilise the truck before firefighters from Olvera and Ubrique could release the body of the middle-aged driver.

An air ambulance was dispatched to the scene but returned to its base without being needed.
