The Junta’s Ministry of Health and Families has confirmed two deaths and 50 new cases of the Covid-19 coronavirus have been reported in Andalusia in the last few hours. The total number of people affected in Andalucia has now risen to 269.

The new declared cases are pending confirmation from the National Centre for Microbiology.
Prevention protocols issued by the Ministry of Health have been activated to determine the possible direct contacts that these patients have had.
The Ministry of Health and Families has increased to 10 the number of laboratories authorised to receive samples of coronavirus.
Telephone Helplines
From February 25 to Tuesday, March 12, Salud Responde has handled 22,961 queries about the coronavirus, with 5,519 being attended yesterday.
The 061 health emergency number has also attended 8,618 inquiries during this period, 1,698 of them yesterday.
The number of operators in the emergency coordination rooms is being reinforced to cope with the increases without neglecting the rest of the service.
More operators are being recruited and trained to answer calls to the 900 400 061 special coronavirus hotline.
