UK budget airline easyJet has announced they will need to cancel flights to Spain from March 17 onwards.
In a Tweet the airline announced, “Spain is the latest authority to impose flight restrictions. We’re flying a full Spanish schedule on 15th & 16th March to help get people home but unfortunately will need to cancel flights from 17th onwards.”
easyJet, is a British low-cost airline group headquartered at London Luton Airport. It operates domestic and international scheduled services on over 1,000 routes in more than 30 countries via its affiliate airlines EasyJet UK, EasyJet Switzerland, and EasyJet Europe.
The group operates more than 300 aircraft. It has 29 bases across Europe, the largest being Gatwick. It is he second-largest budget airline in Europe by number of passengers carried, behind Ryanair.

Yesterday Jet2.com turned around several flights en route from the UK to Spain and they returned to their departure airports before announcing all flights to mainland Spain, the Balearic Islands and the Canary Islands would be cancelled.
