The Junta de Andalucia’s Ministry of Health and Families confirmed in Andalusia 210 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours. The total number of affected in the autonomous community amounts to 1,725.
Of those admitted, 55 remain in Intensive Care Units.
In the last hours, 7 patients have died: a man and a woman in Sevilla, aged 92 and 91-years-old respectively; a 92-year-old woman in Jaén; a 65-year-old man in Malaga; in Almería an 86-year-old woman; and in Cádiz two men, aged 67 and 80-years-old.
On the other hand, 91 patients have already overcome the acute phase of the disease and improved their clinical status, so they have been discharged from hospital to complete their recovery at home, where they will remain under active follow-up.
Similarly, 38 patients have already been cured in Andalucia.

The new declared cases are pending confirmation from the National Centre for Microbiology.
The Ministry of Health also reports that, from today, a total of 725,000 surgical masks are sent to the different provinces of Andalucia. Specifically, the distribution will be as follows:

In the last few hours, rapid sample collection points have been enabled from vehicles in order to speed up the process and minimise the risk to health professionals. This type of test can be carried out in Almería, Cádiz (Campo de Gibraltar and Jerez), Córdoba, Granada, Huelva, Jaén, Málaga and Seville (capital, Aljarafe and Osuna). In addition, in the next few hours new points will be enabled throughout the community.
These tests are being currently only being carried out, by appointment, on front-line professionals who show symptoms of the virus.
