The Junta de Andalucia’s Ministry of Health and Families reports that 279 new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Andalucia in the last 24 hours bringing the total number now affected to 1,287 as the death toll from Covid-19 has risen to 30.
The Ministry has also reported that 72 patients have already overcome the acute phase of the disease and improved sufficiently that they have been discharged from hospital to complete their recovery at home, where they will remain under active follow-up.
In the last 24-hours, seven more patients have died: four women in Malaga aged 73, 78, 84 and 85; an 86-year-old woman and two men, 78 and 92, in Granada making a total of 30 deceased from the virus outbreak.
The Ministry of Health and Families has also increased to 14 the number of aboratories authorised to receive samples of coronavirus.
