The British Embassy in Madrid has listed details of ‘rescue’ flights as some nationals ‘stranded’ in Spain try to get back to the UK during the lockdown as countries try and halt the spread of the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic.
The list includes routes from Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao, Valencia and Spain’s Canary Islands and also two from Gibraltar.
But the Embassy stress the list is ‘intended as a guide and NOT a definitive statement of availability.’
They advise, “Please check the websites of individual airlines; British Airways, Iberia, easyJet and flight comparison websites such as Skyscanner for the latest information.
“While we search for all UK destinations, please be aware that flights from Spain to the UK are currently routing through London airports.”
