Tourism Costa del Sol has taken another step forward in its commitment to the wine segment with the implementation of a project that will study the potential of wine tourism in the Serranía de Ronda.
The CEO of Tourism Costa del Sol, Margarita Cid, together with the Mayor of Ronda, María de la Paz Fernández, and the Municipal Tourism Delegate, Alicia López, have presented a wine tourism planning project for the Serranía de Ronda, which “will serve the turning point to enhance this important segment,” said Margarita del Cid.
Del Cid has said that “the Serranía de Ronda constitutes a strategic market niche in the wine sector, with a broad projection so we will carry out a comprehensive diagnostic out of the key sector for the economy of this part of the Province “.
The Delegation of Tourism of the Costa del Sol said: “The final result should be a guiding instrument for both the public and private sectors to work on the improvement and strengthening of this segment.”
The tourist who opts for this type of tourism generates a greater economic impact than the general tourist. Their average daily spend is €137 compared to €45.34 spent by the average holidaymaker.
The CEO of Tourism Costa del Sol has also stressed that “it is essential that there is still a constant public-private collaboration, that extracts the best of a segment that still has much to contribute and that can consolidate Malaga as a top-quality destination in this area. “
