Man dies in straw bale accident at farm in Jimena de la Frontera (Cadiz) in southern Spain

A man has died at a farm in Jimena de la Frontera, in the Cádiz province yesterday (Thursday) evening according to information from the 112 Andalucia emergency services coordination centre.

A call to 112, at 9.26 p.m. requested assistance for a man who was trapped by straw bales at a farm located near the A-405 road in Jimena de la Frontera.

The coordinating centre activated the fire brigade, paramedics, the Local Police of Jimena and the Guardia Civil but they were unable to save his life.

Health services have confirmed the death of the 67-year-old male.
