The Ministry of Development, Infrastructure and Land Management of the Regional Government of Andalucia has announced that the road improvement works between Ronda and San Pedro de Alcántara will be restarted on February 12, an action that will involve an investment of almost €800,000.
The works were paralysed by bad weather last October.
Announcing the action the regional government delegate, Carmen Casero, explained: “The works had to be suspended shortly after they started due to adverse weather conditions for this type of work which is very sensitive to the humidity of the surface.” Casero said that the objective of the project is to improve the road surface and markings between kilometre points 0 and 38.
The road will remain open to traffic with only minor delays to journey times expected during the project that the Andalucian Government expects to be completed in April.
