The Spanish government has launched a new telephone service “Brexit 060”.
Its objective is to respond to the calls from both Spanish and British citizens and inform them in relation to the impact of the departure of the United Kingdom from the EU that took place on January 31, 2020.
The “Brexit 060” service will be available in both Spanish and English, according to the option chosen by caller when connected to the number.
To access the service, citizens can call 060, (or +34 902 887 060 if calling from abroad). An automated digital voice system will guide you, in a simple and intuitive way, through a series of Brexit topics.
The main information will revolve around the following topics: residency, healthcare, driving licenses, education, travel and business. There is an additional option to be able to make other enquiries.
The automatic system and call agents can forward the public to more specialised levels of care when enquiries so require.
For all matters related to the residency of Spaniards in the United Kingdom the “Brexit 060” service is closely coordinating with the Spanish Embassy and Consulate in London. In this way, information can be quickly updated on the 060 telephone service.
