Spain’s State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has activated an orange severe weather warning for rain in the province of Malaga, specifically in the Sol and Guadalhorce areas from midnight to 18:00 hours on Saturday, 25 January 2020, according to Emergencies 112 Andalucia.
Aemet’s orange alert warns of accumulated rainfall of up to 30 litres per square metre in one hour in the areas of Sol and Guadalhorce. In addition, the rest of the province of Malaga will remain on yellow warnings for rain and storms during the same time slot.
The yellow warning for rain will be extended to other provinces of the western half of Andalucia during the day on Saturday including Huelva (on the coast), Sevilla (in the countryside) and Cádiz in full; as well as on the coast of Granada.
