Rescue of cave fall man missing for a day in Serrania de Ronda

The emergency services have rescued and transferred to hospital a 29-year-old man who they had been looking for since yesterday afternoon in Ronda, report the 112 Emergency Services.

The control centre received a call at about 11.00 giving the location of the tourist who fell an area of ​​the old mills in Ronda and suffered different fractures.

According to the alert, the man has said that he had been in that place since yesterday afternoon, when he fell from a height of five metres.

Immediately, the coordinating centre immediately notified the Public Health Emergency Company (EPES), the National Police, the Provincial Consortium of Firefighters of Malaga, the Local Police of Ronda and Civil Protection volunteers, and confirmed that it was  the same man they were looking for since yesterday.

At about 19.15 on Saturday, the first call about the incident was received in which a man asked for help after having fallen into a cave in the area of ​​the Las Culebras stream, and an organised search was launched but without success.

The injured man was eventually found two kilometres from the location he provided to the emergency services.

Paramedics have evacuated the injured to the Serranía de Ronda hospital.
