Atajate, in the Serranía de Ronda, celebrates its Fiesta del Mosto every November – an event of tourist significance in the province of Malaga.
With this party it is hoped to recover the great wine tradition of the area, being one of the few municipalities in the province where you can still buy 100% handmade must.
After the harvest, on the last Saturday of November, the town square is filled with a festival that lasts until the early hours of Sunday morning.
During the day attendees can taste the freshly fermented mosto (must), accompanied by migas (fried breadcrumbs) – one of the most typical dishes of the area.
